Understanding Gambling Related Harm and its links to Crime

Our continuing professional development (CPD) course on Gambling Related Harm has been developed with Gambling Harm UK and has had lived experience members of GamLEARN help shape and design this session. The course features in-depth video experiences of members who have been through the legal process – from the point of arrest to experiencing custodial sentences.

We know more can be done, and with this training, we hope to provide people working within the system with a better understanding of Gambling Harm.

Impact Report

Understanding Gambling Harm and Its Links to Crime

Over eight months in 2024, our lived-experience facilitators delivered the Criminal Justice System CPD Course to professionals across the UK including probation officers, public health practitioners, and police teams.

This training raises awareness of gambling-related harm and its connections to offending behaviour, equipping professionals to recognise signs, start conversations, and refer people to the right support.

Our latest publication, Impact and Outcomes Report 2024, highlights the results, feedback, and next steps for improving awareness and early intervention across the justice system.
